As President, Investment Counsellor, and Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Vincent draws on over 25 years experience in the investment management industry serving Private, Institutional, Trusts and Not-for-Profit clients. He also focuses on corporate strategy and the daily operations of Matco.
Prior to co-founding Matco Financial in 2006, Mr. Vincent was Executive Vice President of Fiduciary Trust Company of Canada, where he assisted clients with strategic wealth management concerns and helped establish a new business strategy and model for the firm, which sparked significant growth. Mr. Vincent graduated from the University of Calgary in 1993, having earned a Bachelor of Commerce.
Mr. Dickie is responsible for the investment operations and strategic development of Matco Financial Inc. He is a member of the Canadian Equity working group that manages Matco Canadian Equity Funds. As the CIO of Matco Financial Inc., he has oversight to the Matco investment platform that includes the Matco Balanced Fund, the Matco Bond Portfolio and the use of external multi-managers.
Mr. Dickie has been helping private clients achieve their goals since 1979, starting his career with McLeod Young Weir Ltd. Prior to co-founding Matco Financial Inc. in 2006, Mr. Dickie was President and Director of Fiduciary Trust Company of Canada, formerly part of Bissett Investment Management; here he established a new business strategy and model. Mr. Dickie graduated from the University of Alberta having earned a Bachelor of Commerce. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Ms. Conrad is responsible for strategic financial planning, accounting oversight and operations of the Company and the Mutual Funds it manages. She is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in the Investment Management industry in the capacities of: Controller, Auditor, and Advisor. In the capacity of Controller, she supported the finance functions of companies in the retail and exempt markets as they became established and underwent significant growth. Prior to this, she served hedge funds in an audit and advisory capacity at an offshore office of a Big 4 firm subsequent to having obtained her designation while at a mid-sized firm in Calgary.
Mr. Mathison has extensive experience in restructuring and financing companies in both the public and private markets gained over a career that has spanned nearly 30 years.
Ron is deeply skilled in management and corporate governance. Prior to Matco, Ron was a director and principal of Peters & Co., an investment firm specializing in the energy industry. Ron was also one of three principals at Peters & Co. Capital, a private merchant banking entity that is widely associated with numerous restructurings of oil and natural gas exploration and production companies and oilfield service companies.
Ron has co-founded several companies including Calfrac Well Services and Western Energy Services. He remains chair of both companies. Ron has a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from the University of Manitoba and is a Chartered Accountant, a Chartered Business Valuator and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation. Ron also serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Matco Investments and Matco Capital.
As Vice President, Investment Counsellor, Ms. Angevine draws on over 25 years of investment and research experience, serving Private, Institutional and Not-for-Profit clients. Ms. Angevine chairs the Matco Investment Committee and is also a member of the Matco Asset mix Committee.
Prior to joining Matco, Ms. Angevine was Vice President and Director, Institutional Research at FirstEnergy Capital Corp. She graduated from the University of Calgary in 1989, having earned a Bachelor of Commerce. She has earned the Chartered Accountant (CA), the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D) designations.
As Vice President, Investment Counsellor, Ms. Lunney’s draws on over 30 years experience in the investment management industry, to serve Matco Private Clients. Ms Lunney is a member of the Matco Financial Investment Committee and the Asset Mix Committee.
Prior to joining Matco, Ms. Lunney served as President and Chief Executive Officer, Fiduciary Trust Company of Canada and previously as Director Portfolio Management, RT Investment Counsel.
As Vice President, Investment Counsellor, Ms. Preston draws on over 25 years of investment management experience, serving Private, Institutional, Trusts and Not-for-Profit clients.
Ms. Preston began her career in Toronto in 1980 as an Investment Advisor with RBC Dominion Securities and progressed to Portfolio Management in 2005, assisting clients achieve their financial goals. Prior to joining Matco, Ms. Preston was Vice-President and Director of a small boutique investment firm. Ms. Preston is both a Certified Financial Planner as well as a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute.
Mr. Lee has over 10 years of industry experience, began his career at Fiduciary Trust Company of Canada and joined Matco Financial in 2010. In addition to being a member of Matco Financial’s Investment Committee and Equity Working Groups, he is also a Portfolio Manager on the Matco Canadian Equity Fund where his primary responsibilities range from portfolio management and fundamental research to trading. He graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Management degree and has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Mr. Galon has over 8 years of industry experience on the buy side dealing with both institutional and private high net worth clients. He began his career at Greystone Managed Investments where he was part of the fixed income team for 5 years. His responsibilities ranged from trading and portfolio management to client service and research. He joined Matco in 2015 where he contributes as Chair of the Asset Mix Committee and is a member of both the Fixed Income and Canadian Equity working groups. His primary roles range from portfolio management and fundamental research to trading. Mr. Galon graduated from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, majoring in both finance and economics and has also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Mr. Knight’s primary responsibility is Portfolio Manager of the Matco Small Cap and Cannabis Fund. He is a member of the Investment Committee and Canadian Equity Working Group. His previous work experience included Petrominerales as a New Ventures Analyst and at Petrobank Energy and Resources in the Accounting department. Mr. Knight graduated from the University of Calgary, Haskayne School of Business with a Bachelor in Commerce majoring in Finance. Following achieving his degree, Mr. Knight has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Ms. Bryant leads the client service and operations teams for Matco Financial Inc. Her duties include direct client service, family office reporting and Human Resources. With over 18 years in the financial industry, Ms. Bryant provides exceptional client experience. Ms. Bryant has completed her Canadian Operations Course, Canadian Securities Course and her Conduct and Practice Course. Prior to joining Matco, Ms. Bryant was a Client Service Associate with McLean & Partners Wealth Management Ltd.
Mrs. Morin has extensive experience in client relationship management and over 15 years of experience in compliance. She has supported multiple portfolio managers with both wealth and advisory relationships. Along with Chief Compliance Officer her previous roles included, Operations Manager and Branch Manager. Mrs. Morin graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Economics.
Ms. Toews provides Matco with internal marketing and sales expertise in her role as Marketing Manager. She specializes in market research, sales targeting, lead generation and campaign management. She is responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing marketing strategy. Ms. Toews graduated from University of Calgary in 2013.
Ms. Powell provides operational and administrative support for Matco Financial Inc. Her duties are mainly in the areas of trade settlements, billing, sales reporting and database management. Ms. Powell has completed the Canadian Securities Course, the Canadian Investment Funds Operations Course, the Branch Managers’ Examination Course, and the Institute of Canadian Bankers Compliance Officer Course. Ms. Powell has worked in the financial services industry for over 30 years.
Mrs. Kocsar provides administrative support with a focus on new accounts, transfers and account maintenance. She has over 10 years administrative experience which includes working for a mutual fund and full securities dealership in Vancouver and a large commercial real estate company in Toronto.
