Mr. Vincent focuses on corporate strategy and the daily operations of Matco Financial Inc. He also helps clients solve domestic and global wealth management concerns including investment management, estate planning and trusts. Prior to co-founding Matco Financial in 2006, Mr. Vincent was executive vice president of Fiduciary Trust Company of Canada, where he assisted clients with strategic wealth management concerns and helped establish a new business strategy and model for the firm, which sparked significant growth. Mr. Vincent graduated from the University of Calgary having earned a Bachelor of Commerce.
Mr. Dickie is responsible for the investment operations and strategic development of Matco Financial Inc. He is a member of the Canadian Equity working group that manages Matco Canadian Equity Funds. As the CIO of Matco Financial Inc., he has oversight to the Matco investment platform that includes the Matco Balanced Fund, the Matco Bond Portfolio and the use of external multi-managers.
Mr. Dickie has been helping private clients achieve their goals since 1979, starting his career with McLeod Young Weir Ltd. Prior to co-founding Matco Financial Inc. in 2006, Mr. Dickie was President and Director of Fiduciary Trust Company of Canada, formerly part of Bissett Investment Management; here he established a new business strategy and model. Mr. Dickie graduated from the University of Alberta having earned a Bachelor of Commerce. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Mr. Hill is responsible for implementing compliance controls and procedures as well as Matco Financial Inc.’s public reporting obligations. Prior to joining Matco Financial in 2007, Mr. Hill was controller, operational accounting at Plains Midstream Canada and chief financial officer of a TSX Venture Exchange listed company. Mr. Hill graduated from the University of Alberta having earned a Bachelor of Commerce.
Mr. Mathison has extensive experience in restructuring and financing companies in both the public and private markets gained over a career that has spanned nearly 30 years.
Ron is deeply skilled in management and corporate governance. Prior to Matco, Ron was a director and principal of Peters & Co., an investment firm specializing in the energy industry. Ron was also one of three principals at Peters & Co. Capital, a private merchant banking entity that is widely associated with numerous restructurings of oil and natural gas exploration and production companies and oilfield service companies.
Ron has co-founded several companies including Calfrac Well Services and Western Energy Services. He remains chair of both companies. Ron has a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from the University of Manitoba and is a Chartered Accountant, a Chartered Business Valuator and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation. Ron also serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Matco Investments and Matco Capital.
Ms. Angevine is a Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Matco Financial Inc. with over 20 years of investment and research experience. She chairs Matco Financial’s Investment Committee and is a member of all equity working groups. Ms. Angevine also serves on the boards of three public Canadian companies. Prior to joining Matco Financial, Ms. Angevine was Vice President and Director, Institutional Research at FirstEnergy Capital Corp. Ms. Angevine is a graduate of the University of Calgary, having earned a Bachelor of Commerce and has earned the Chartered Accountant (CA), the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D) designations.
Ms. Lunney’s focus at Matco Financial is Private Wealth, working with individual families to clarify financial objectives, term investment strategy and then execute with a high degree of transparency and accountability. Ms Lunney is a member of the Matco Financial Investment Committee. Ms. Lunney has more than 30 years experience in the investment management industry having served as President and Chief Executive Officer, Fiduciary Trust Company of Canada and previously as Director Portfolio Management, RT Investment Counsel.
At Matco, Ms. Preston’s focus is directed to managing and servicing portfolios for private clients, trusts and institutional accounts. Ms. Preston began her career in Toronto in 1980 as an Investment Advisor with RBC Dominion Securities and progressed to Portfolio Management in 2005, assisting clients achieve their financial goals. Most recently, Ms. Preston was Vice-President and Director of a small boutique investment firm. Ms. Preston is both a Certified Financial Planner as well as a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute.
Mr. Lee has over 10 years of industry experience, began his career at Fiduciary Trust Company of Canada and joined Matco Financial in 2010. In addition to being a member of Matco Financial’s Investment Committee and Equity Working Groups, he is also a Portfolio Manager on the Matco Canadian Equity Fund where his primary responsibilities range from portfolio management and fundamental research to trading. He graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Management degree and has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Mr. Galon has over 8 years of industry experience on the buy side dealing with both institutional and private high net worth clients. He began his career at Greystone Managed Investments where he was part of the fixed income team for 5 years. His responsibilities ranged from trading and portfolio management to client service and research. He joined Matco in 2015 where he contributes as Chair of the Asset Mix Committee and is a member of both the Fixed Income and Canadian Equity working groups. His primary roles range from portfolio management and fundamental research to trading. Mr. Galon graduated from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, majoring in both finance and economics and has also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Mr. Knight’s primary responsibility is Portfolio Manager of the Matco Small Cap and Cannabis Fund. He is a member of the Investment Committee and Canadian Equity Working Group. His previous work experience included Petrominerales as a New Ventures Analyst and at Petrobank Energy and Resources in the Accounting department. Mr. Knight graduated from the University of Calgary, Haskayne School of Business with a Bachelor in Commerce majoring in Finance. Following achieving his degree, Mr. Knight has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Ms. Bryant leads the client service and operations teams for Matco Financial Inc. Her duties include direct client service, family office reporting and Human Resources. With over 18 years in the financial industry, Ms. Bryant provides exceptional client experience. Ms. Bryant has completed her Canadian Operations Course, Canadian Securities Course and her Conduct and Practice Course. Prior to joining Matco, Ms. Bryant was a Client Service Associate with McLean & Partners Wealth Management Ltd.
Mrs. Morin is part of the client service team. She has extensive experience in client relationship management. She has supported multiple portfolio managers with both wealth and advisory relationships. Her previous roles included Chief Compliance Officer, Operations Manager and Branch Manager. Mrs. Morin graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Economics.
Ms. Toews provides Matco with internal marketing and sales expertise in her role as Marketing Manager. She specializes in market research, sales targeting, lead generation and campaign management. She is responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing marketing strategy. Ms. Toews graduated from University of Calgary in 2013.
Ms. Matthews provides operational and administrative support for Matco Financial Inc. Her responsibilities include monthly, quarterly reporting, yearly filings, as well as providing support to business lines such as Compliance and Finance. Prior to joining Matco, Ms. Matthews was the Operations Manager with CST Trust Company (formerly known as CIBC Mellon Trust Company), and has been employed in the Trust industry for over 25 years.
Ms. Powell provides operational and administrative support for Matco Financial Inc. Her duties are mainly in the areas of trade settlements, billing, sales reporting and database management. Ms. Powell has completed the Canadian Securities Course, the Canadian Investment Funds Operations Course, the Branch Managers’ Examination Course, and the Institute of Canadian Bankers Compliance Officer Course. Ms. Powell has worked in the financial services industry for over 30 years.
