Sector Allocation

Recent Transactions

The fund has allocated approximately 60% to the US, 20% to emerging markets and 20% to Europe. Within the US, the fund is biased towards late cyclical sectors: overweight energy, industrials and financials and market weight materials. These four sectors were the best performing sectors in September and should continue to outperform as the US enters its ninth year of the current bull market. Year to date, emerging markets have significantly outperformed developed markets, +24% versus +14%. The outperformance was driven by a weaker US dollar and the reacceleration of global growth, which has led to rising PMI data around the world that supports higher commodity prices. Europe is approaching an economic inflection point as evidenced by an improving employment landscape, rising PMI data, strong euro area business sentiment and accommodative monetary policy.

Fund Overview

The Matco Global Equity Fund’s Investment strategy is to construct a geographically diversified portfolio by allocation capital across global markets. A top down investment approach is applied to determine which markets offer attractive investment opportunities. This is overlaid with a bottom up investment approach to gain exposure to the US market, where securities are selected by following a quantitative investment process focused on fundamentals/
