Jason’s goal is to use all available resources to solve and prevent complex family problems. If it important to a client it matters to Jason, as he has 25 years of experience in estate and succession planning, taxes, wills, business divestitures, personal corporations, charitable trust and endowments. Jason also provides family coaching regarding the transition of assets and operating businesses.
Jason co-founded Matco Financial in 2006. He started his career in 1993 at Royal Trust as an investment counsellor providing wealth management advice to a wide range of private clients. In 2000, Jason joined the Fiduciary Trust Company of Canada as Executive Vice President, where he worked with private clients, trusts and non-profit organizations. Jason graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. Jason also holds the designations of Personal Financial Planner (PFP) and Trust & Estate Practitioner (TEP).
Outside the office, Jason has a strong interest in classic automobiles and enjoys hiking, boating, and numerous community initiatives.
