Anil manages the Matco Canadian Equity Income Fund [effective August 2020] and the Matco Small Cap Fund. He also works with a wide range of private clients providing asset mix, portfolio, financial and retirement planning.
Anil joined Matco in 2018 bringing with him his wide-ranging experience in money management and working with private clients, institutions and non-profits.
He started his career in 1990 at the Alberta Treasury Department as a financial analyst. Next, he joined Bissett and Associates Investment Management as a Portfolio Manager. As an entrepreneur, Mr. Tahiliani co-founded three internet start-up companies in Phoenix and served as their Chief Financial Officer. On returning to Calgary, Anil was Director of Research and Portfolio Manager for sixteen years at McLean & Partners Wealth Management.
Anil graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Management degree and received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Windsor. He holds the designations of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and was awarded the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing.
Anil has also been involved in a number of not-for-profit organizations and currently serves on the Board and as the Past President of the Cancervive Foundation of Alberta. Anil was a recipient of Calgary’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2003 by Avenue Magazine.
Outside of the office, Anil enjoys cycling, mountain biking, and running.
